Tonus Elastic Medical Products hit Wales
July 21st 2010 was the official launch of Tonus Europe Ltd, a Tredegar, Wales based elastic medical product company. Tonus Europe Ltd is the UK front-end of the 1995 founded company TONUS ELAST Ltd, its Latvian Parent Company the Baltic leaders in the manufacture of elastic medical products.
Tonus Europe Ltd has been formed to capture the UK Market in elastic medical products and to be the front-end UK interface.
Chris Groves the Managing Director of Tonus Europe Ltd was delighted of the achievement, he said, “Our aim is to look at future and smart textile techniques integrating into using existing and new production techniques”. The Head of Sales and Marketing for TONUS ELAST Ltd, Dana Preiss, was thrilled of this achievement saying it was only an idea last year and now it is a complete reality.
The day was marked with the attendance of Ambassador Eduards Stiprais, the Latvian Ambassador to the UK pictured below left shaking hands with Councillor Des Hillman the leader of the Blaenau Gwent Council in Wales. Chris Groves is pictured on the left and Dana Preiss is pictured on the right.

Latvia has been working closely with Wales since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the 2 countries on 12th May 2004, today’s landmark event compliments the memorandum that is based on the 2 countries working together on areas of economic, education, culture and EU issues.
