The data management system is to be used as a part of a long-term programme of national coastal monitoring to analyse coastal processes and provide data for operational and strategic shoreline management. The data management system will provide the primary means of data delivery to programme partners and provide metadate for all data collected in connection with the programme.
The basis for the programme design will be the existing Channel Coastal Observatory web site (www.channelcoast.org). The new system will be required to make provision for all features and functionality currently available on this site. Enhancements and expansion of the system will be required to allow for the expansion of the regional coastal monitoring programmes.Estimated value excluding VAT: 700 000 GBP
